About the event

Have you wanted to write a story but didn't know how to start? Come along and learn the basics of story writing. In one hour, Karen will give you enough information for you to get started - make sure you have a pen and paper handy when you attend the Zoom session.  Karen Lee is a retired clinical psychologist and management consultant living in Oakridge. She teaches memoir writing at the Alexandra Writers' Centre in Marda Loop, now on Zoom. She has had a writing career that has ranged from technical writing, academic writing, journal and magazine articles and memoir writing. Her two books are Consulting into the Future (2001) and The Full Catastrophe: A Memoir (2016). She is presently working on a new book based on the village in Ontario she grew up in, that is a combination of memoir and reportage. She loves helping writers tell the stories that move them.
