Oakridge Seniors Association Special Meeting

SPECIAL MEETING of the OAKRIDGE SENIORS ASSOCIATION

It is with sincere regret that the Board of Directors has called a meeting regarding the dissolution of Oakridge Seniors Association as an incorporated non-profit society under the Societies Act of Alberta.

This association has tried, without success, to find new leaders and without officers, our society cannot continue.  Moreover, as our current grant funding is ending,  we will have limited financial capacity to cover the ongoing  costs associated with operating a registered non-profit society. 

We plan to continue the work of Oakridge Seniors Association as an unincorporated organization, or as an affiliate of another non-profit society, under the name SW 55+ Connect (SWC).  All current OSA members will be automatically enrolled as SWC members.

According to our bylaws, we must hold a meeting to dissolve the Oakridge Seniors Association. The decision will be made by a majority of eligible members present and voting at this meeting.

The  Board  of  Directors of the Oakridge Seniors Association will hold a Special Meeting on the seventh (7th) day of September, 2022, at 10:00 am via Zoom. Join the meeting here.

Special Resolution

Be it resolved, Oakridge Seniors Association will be dissolved and surrender its certificate of  incorporation to the Registrar, Province of Alberta.
