GETTING A HANDLE ON TECHNOLOGY

Technology opens the possibilities for connection, learning and fulfillment of basic needs. The pandemic has disrupted much of our normal routines and technology can keep us engaged in the things we love and the things we must do. From communicating with grandchildren to ordering groceries, technology can help. Oakridge Seniors Association is committed to bridging the digital divide for older adults.

We can help you use the Internet, connect to social programs via Zoom, and more! If you don’t have a computer, tablet, or Internet connection, we can help with obtaining these. Please phone Samantha at 403-801-7254.

COMPUTER / IT ACCESS Several members report very favourable experiences with this group of savvy young tech gurus who can help you one-on-one with technical and computer questions CyberSeniors.org

This week’s update: Timber for 6 new raised beds was ordered, delivered on Thursday 11 June and beds fabricated and installed by Sunday 14 June. Three are now filled with soil and compost, with three more in progress.

Planting of all beds is expected over the next week, subject to final OCG discussions and decisions. Take a walk over and admire all the work this group of garden gurus has done.
